Founded in 2002, Shuangpai Aluminium Shanghai Ltd. is an international trading arm of Shuangpai Aluminium Group, which is fully owned by the Group. It also functions as the Group's headquarters for realizing unified corporate communications and one-stop trading services.

Currently, Shuangpai Aluminium Shanghai carters to the Group's own business portfolio, a cluster of aluminium smelting and fabricating plants around China with aluminium reduction capability of 260,000 metric-ton-per-year (mtpy). By 2010, the Group's primary aluminium is expected to reach 500,000 mtpy.

The business scope of the company focuses on import and export of aluminium products, including alumina, primary aluminium, and semi-fabricated aluminium materials, such as plate and foil. It is also responsible for controlling related risks through current and futures markets.

Located in the heart of Lujiazui, Shanghai's new Central Business District, Shuangpai Aluminium Shanghai enjoys world-class business support services and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Through networked e-commerce platforms, the company keeps constant communications with its nationwide production sites whilst having information accesses to global metal and capital markets, such as LME, COMEX, and SHFE.

The Shanghai Municipal Government ranked the company as No.1 in the Top 100 Private Trading Companies both in2003 and 2004. The company also received a prestigious recognition from the National Ministry of Commerce of China for its business ethics in 2004.
