built its first aluminium reduction plant next to a hydropower station
in Hunan.
2000 When the Central Government
launched its campaign for Developing Western Regions, Shuangpai
Aluminium reacted promptly by immediately building two large-scale
smelters in Guizhou province, raising its total smelting capability
to 110,000 mtpy in less than three years.
2002 Shuangpai Aluminium
decided to invest in a new smelter Yichang, where China¡¯s second
hydropower station, Gezhouba, and the world¡¯s largest hydropower
station, The Three Gorges Dam, are located by capitalizing on advanced
technologies and professional management.

Shanghai Ltd was set up in Shanghai, China¡¯s financial and trade
centres.
2003 To meet the increasingly
demand from domestic and global markets, Shuangpai Aluminium prudently
moved towards down-stream by building a modern rolled aluminium
plant in Shaodong, Hunan province, in accordance with its vertical
integration strategy which also resulted in establishing two B2B
trade arms in Shanghai and Hong Kong, respectively.
2004 Sung Lung International
Ltd was set up in Hong Kong, one the well established global financial
centres.
2004 The Phase I project
was completed and reached the production capacity of 150,000 mtpy,
while the Phase II project is under way to double its aluminium
reduction capability.
